Baptist Builders Club Announces New Assistance

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Baptist Builders Club USA has just announced assistance to four churches around the country. The purpose of BBC USA, as listed in its official guidelines, is to assist fellowshipping churches in the GARBC by providing grants and loans to aid in the building, renovation, and equipping of facilities crucial to growth and development of a Biblical ministry in the community.

Since its inception in 1951, BBC USA has put more than three million dollars into circulation. Some of those dollars have been outright gifts. Others have been extended in the form of interest-free loans that have “revolved” to benefit others. The following churches were assisted:

• Brooklyn Baptist Church, Brooklyn, N.Y.—Donald W. LeMaster, pastor: $15,000 grant to complete the remodeling of the basement. “Unforseen problems with the plumbing, electrical system, and termites have increased the original repair estimate beyond the church’s ability to pay the contractor in a timely manner,” Pastor Don LeMaster said.
• Grace Baptist Church, Washington, Ind.—Louis Showers, pastor: $7,000 grant for roof repairs.
• Community Baptist Fellowship, Palmdale, Calif.—Patrick Campbell, pastor: Grant of up to $5,000 for the purchase of a sound system and signage.
• Bridgewater Baptist Church, Montrose, Pa.—Robert Kadlecik, pastor: A loan of $15,000 for the construction of a new building.

A board of administrators meets several times yearly to make careful and prayerful decisions based on thorough research. Churches and individuals contribute to the Baptist Builders Club fund each month so the administrators can continue to disburse funds.
