Persuading Others with The Gospel

By December 19, 2013No Comments

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. Acts 26:28 KJV

While in prison in Caesarea, waiting transfer to Rome, the Apostle Paul was given the opportunity to share his testimony with King Agrippa. The response of the king has become well known. Almost persuaded, of all the things in this world we could talk about where almost isn’t good enough, this is the most tragic. Almost home in baseball can cost the game and be heartbreaking but it is just a game. Almost persuaded but not quite in salvation will cost eternity for your soul. Can anything be more tragic? I have talked with too many that were almost persuaded. I hope not any of you. The response of Paul in verse 29 should be our own that all those we talk with would know Jesus as their Savior.

Lord, too often I do not persuade others to know Christ as I should. The outcome is too important for me to be neglectful. Help me take every opportunity I have to persuade others to know You and Your salvation.
