Restoring Fallen Believers

By December 9, 2015No Comments

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Galatians 6:1 KJV

Recently, as a result of a foolish decision, I broke the major bones in my right foot. The doctor, I went to, handled my foot with great care so as not to make the damage even worst. He ordered x-rays and an MRI so he could understand exactly what he needed to do to restore the broken bones in my foot that I could walk as I should again. That is what a spiritual Christian does with fellow Christians who fall in sin and break their fellowship with the Lord. Spiritual maturity seeks to understand the problem and tenderly provides the proper care that fellow believers can be mended and walk right with the Lord again.

Lord, I am grateful for the mature Christians You used early in my Christian life to restore my walk with You after I sinned through foolish decisions. Their spiritual but tender care, according to Your Word, established a pattern that I have been able to follow in restoring other fallen Christians.
