Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 KJV
This is one of the most important statements in the Bible. How can we know the way to God? We have come up with a host of complicated and impossible answers to this question. Jesus makes it simple; He is the only way. Some may argue that His way is narrow and unfair. In fact, it is wide enough for the whole world, and available to all. No one is excluded but those who exclude themselves. Rather than complaining about having only one way, we should be grateful God has provided a sure way. As the way, Jesus is our path to the Father. As the truth, He is the reality of all the promises of God. As the life, He joins our life to His for eternity. Trust Jesus and He will take you to the Father.
Lord, I am delighted that You showed Yourself as the way, the truth, and the life to me. I had chosen my own way and was lost, You found me and gave to me what I could not find on my own: the clear and sure way of salvation.
