Flooding_inlineRecent flooding in Columbia, South Carolina, prompted a well-check call to the GARBC church in the area. Baptist Builders Club contacted Foundation Baptist Church in Columbia.

Pastor George Smiling reports that, thankfully, his church avoided the floodwater, since the building is located in an elevated area. He also says the high school where his children attend is closed for regular classes, but that it is being used as a shelter for about 100 displaced residents.

Smiling is still checking on church members and others in his area to see how Baptist Builders Club can help through its Disaster Relief Ministry. If you would like to help, you can do so today by praying and/or giving.
