Update: Severe Weather Wreaks Havoc

By February 29, 2016No Comments

On Feb. 24 and 25 a wave of severe weather stretched from the South all the way to the Northeast coast. No GARBC churches were affected by the winds, tornadoes, and heavy rains, so no churches need Disaster Relief assistance.

When news of severe weather, a tornado, flood, or other catastrophe is reported, the Regular Baptist Builders Club team leaps into action to find out if any GARBC churches are in the midst of it. After gathering information, the team determines if Regular Baptist Builders Club can assist a church in ministering to its neighbors. Assistance can come in one or a combination of ways:

  • A Disaster Relief team, equipped with supplies and tools, may be sent to work in the area.
  • Why? tracts might be sent to help individuals minister and answer the difficult question of why God allows bad things to happen.
  • Funds could be sent to help buy supplies that are needed to minister to the community.

In an effort to stay prepared, Regular Baptist Builders Club is always excepting new volunteers, prayer partners, and financial partners. It is never known when the next disaster will happen; but one thing is for sure: it will happen!
