WVa_inlineInitial cleanup and disposal of the contents in the basement of Calvary Baptist Church, Clendenin, West Virginia, have been completed. Pastor Shawn Davis reports it is time to move into the next phase of recovery after flooding damaged the church’s basement and parsonage.

Electrical work is currently being done. As soon as it is completed, the next phase of building projects will begin and volunteers will be needed. It is now time to form teams that will help this sister church in the next few weeks. Projects will involve drywall, flooring, framing, installing doors, insulation, plumbing, cabinets, countertops, and drop ceiling. To find out how you can help, contact Regular Baptist Builders Club at 847-585-0803 or builders@garbc.org.

On a personal note, Pastor Davis and his family were living in the parsonage and lost practically everything that was in the basement and the first floor, as well as their vehicle. The family was blessed to be able to move into an empty house owned by Davis’s father. However, this home too, having been vacant for years, needs repairs made. Please pray for the Davis family and the church as they trust God through this difficult time.
