As Christians, we are commanded, by the Lord Himself, to go. We are all going someplace every day. We go to work. We go to school. We go to play. We are a people on the go. All of human history illustrates that! But just going does not fulfill His commission. Instead, we go with the plan of Christ always in mind, knowing that there is to be purpose in our going. As we go into the world each day, we are to understand there are people that the Lord wants us to talk to, to reach out to, and to minister to. That is His plan for changing the world and He wants to do it through us! This might seem like too much for us but the Lord has sent us in His power and promises to be with us to the end!
Lord, what a great privilege to be chosen by You to make a difference in our world. You send us out in Your power, with Your plan and presence to reach and teach people. There can be no greater purpose to our going. Help us not neglect this privilege.
