Floods, tornadoes, fires, and hurricanes are not selective in their destruction. In their wake they leave mud, ashes, twisted pews, and splattered memories where once stood a thriving house of worship. These natural disasters are not rare. Every year we hear of property damage and churches facing the nightmare of trying to rebuild.
The RBBC Emergency Fund is designed to give immediate assistance to GARBC churches that face natural disasters. The fund will give up to $20,000 of immediate relief as the church begins to determine its course of action.
As a benefit of being a Help Up fund recipient, each approved church will additionally receive:
- A one-year subscription to the Baptist Bulletin
- One year of free quarterly curriculum from Regular Baptist Press
Disaster Relief
Churches can also apply for grants to help serve victims of the storm. This includes: helping church members who have suffered property damage, and providing aid to members of the affected community as part of an outreach effort.
“For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up” (Ecclesiastes 4:10)
