Tornado_inlineTypically March is the month when significant tornado activity begins, but up until March 25, no significant tornadoes had touched down. Weather officials are still accessing the damage in Moore, Sand Springs, and Oklahoma City, Okla., but say things could have been much worse. Rescue workers are on-site and report that primarily rooftops have been damaged and power outages have occurred. One fatality was reported. No GARBC churches are located in the areas where the tornado touched down, but Baptist Builders Club is making calls to see how it can assist.

Baptist Builders Club’s disaster relief ministry is designed to work through GARBC churches that are in areas hit by catastrophes. Director Michael Nolan says prayers go out to the community and that this weather incident will serve as a reminder of what Baptist Builders Club has been preparing to do over the last two years: Pray, Give, and Go.

Here are three ways you can help Baptist Builders Club continue to prepare for future catastrophes:

  • Pray – sign up to be a BBC–USA Member
  • Give –  donate to BBC–USA
  • Go – sign up to be on a Ready Now Team
