Fullerton, Neb.—Victory Baptist Church has graduated from a mission work to a self-supporting church. A graduation service marked the milestone. Peter Jenks, regional field director of Baptist Church Planters (Mountain Plains/Southwest region) presented to Pastor Roy Cupples a framed certificate of graduation.

Victory Baptist Church is part of the Nebraska Association of Regular Baptist Churches and has been formally associated with the GARBC since 2001. The church recently completed a building project, as the facility—a former hospital—had a porch but no foyer. Fran Cupples, Pastor Cupples’ wife, says, “We had no place for folks to visit or gather before or after services, and we had a bottleneck in the short hallway.” Now the congregation is enjoying its new foyer built with help from Baptist Builders Club, which provided a $7,500 grant and $5,000 loan as part of its Build Up program.
