Hurricane Church Damage Update

By August 31, 2011No Comments

Baptist Builders Club Director, Michael Nolan and the team spent much of the morning of August 29th  contacting churches in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, Maryland, and Delaware.

Nolan and his wife Kristen spoke to many pastors and expressed care and concern. So far there are reports of power outages, flooding, and downed trees, but no major damages to GARBC churches. Pastors shared that church members were pulling together and helping clean up any mess left from the storm around their churches. Many also told how thankful they were to God for the hurricane not being as bad as predicted.

As churches continue to access damages check back for continued updates. Also, continue to pray for the churches in the hurricane zone to be able to reach out to their communities in the aftermath of Irene. If you would still like to contribute to the Help Up fund please click here.
