Portland_inlinePORTLAND, Mich.—Help is needed now in Portland, Michigan!

A tornado touched down Monday, June 22, a little after 3 p.m. CST. First Baptist Church, located in the downtown area of Portland, has been severely damaged. The entire roof of the sanctuary has been ripped off, in addition to other damage.

Baptist Builders Club Director Michael Nolan talked with Pastor Gary Coleman about the damage and immediate needs of the church. A crew is preparing to leave immediately to help the church clean up and minister to its community.
